Tinos is definately an island to viit for it magnificent beaches. All the different styles of beaches can be found here, sandy beaches, rocky beaches, organized or even plain, this aspect of Tinos will fulfil your expectations. Here you will find a simple guide for all the beaches you should visit.
Agios Fokas
The cloasest coast to Chora, Agios Fokas is a certain option to enjoy a sunny morning relaxing at your sunbed.
Due to its length, Agios fokas offers different options to satisfy all the vacationers.
Around 8 beach bars and many free meters of sandy beach is what you should expect from Tinos.
Tips
All the beach bars offer prized sundbeds but the entrance is free.
You can stay under trees if you do not own an umbrella for the sun.
Due to the many ferries passing, some times sea could be wavy so be careful
Agios Ioannis – Porto
Another sandy beach close to Chora. Porto is a rather protected from the heavy air coast. Two beach bars are also here and plenty of free space to chill.
TIPS
Parking may be quite difficult to find so be sure to be there early.
Sundbeds are fairly prized.
Kolimpithra
-The Surf Heaven-
The famous beach among surfers is located north of Chora about 14km.It consists of two totaly different beaches.
The Long one is the surf area and for the adventure lovers. There is a picturesque canteen with delicancies and a lot of photografic material.
This is a pebble beach inside the sea.
The smallest beach is also organised but it lacks of waves so you can have a peaceful day.
TIPS
When visiting this beautiful beach you must be extra causious with waves and the air.
The parking is difficult to find so the farest you park, the better.
Agios Romanos
Another popular beach 12 km away from Chora.
Here you can find, apart from the clean blue sea, a quite popular beach bar with many amenities.Trees are covering most of the seashore and there’s a tiny port for the Boat users.
TIPS
The sunbeads are quite expensive compared to the other beaches but you can find plenty of space to lay.
